To the Patients of Countryside Dental Group,

I hope you are all doing well. I certainly miss seeing all of you awesome patients. We know some of you have really been wanting to get in for your dental care, and I truly wish we could get back to our normal lives. Please read this full email for a complete update. I am hopeful there is light at the end of the tunnel.

As you know, Governor Pritzker has extended the stay at home orders for Illinois until May 30. Despite some confusion over the weekend, on Monday, Governor Pritzker made clear that only emergency and urgent dental care can be done at this time, per the Illinois Dept of Public Health. Thus, our office needs to remain closed to non-emergency care a little longer.

Even before the threat of COVID-19, Countryside Dental Group has done everything we can to make sure our infection control policies and procedures well exceed all standards of care. We have had HEPA filters in our operatories for several years, and we use the most rigid standards for sterilization of all of our instruments, operatories and water lines.

Now, we plan to take protection ever further. We are taking many steps to make sure that our patients and staff remain safe when we open. We have invested in extremely high tech air filtration systems, with brands that lead the market in providing “Surgically Clean Air.” We have also purchased several pieces of equipment that are new to the market and have been designed because of COVID-19. They are vacuums that collect aerosols released during dental treatment. We are in the midst of working on several other projects and contraptions that will help protect our patients, as well as our staff.

While we wait for these new pieces of equipment to arrive, and while we wait for the ok from the Illinois Dept of Public Health, our office will remain closed, except for emergencies and urgent care. If you have an urgent issue or a dental emergency, please call our office and we will speak to you about options. Additionally, if you have concerns, you can call our office to schedule an appointment for a Tele-dentistry visit with Dr. Leila. Our front desk is available as usual to answer any of your questions, make payments, or schedule future appointments.

We truly appreciate your patience during these unprecedented times. We are thinking of all of you every single day. Please keep in mind that as eager as you are to have your dental work done, we are even more looking forward to getting back into the office and seeing all of you!
